Silvia Kelly nee Cano Posada. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Kelly. Loving mother of Patricia (the late Edward) Wess, William (Yolanda) Kelly, Barbara (Steve Janikowski) Kelly, and the late Margaret (Steve Schmidt) Schmidt Kelly and Michael Kelly. Devoted grandmother of Christopher (Sooji) Oh-Kelly, Edward (Sydney Engle) Wess, Kelly Wess and Richard Wess. Dear sister of Luis Cano. Preceded in death by her parents and 12 siblings. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Silvia was a microbiologist specializing in tropical diseases and head of the blood bank at her hospital in Colombia. She taught English as a second language at Harper College. Silvia was an avid reader and a faithful parishioner of St. Cecilia’s Parish.
Visitation Monday 9:00 AM until Mass 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia Church, Golf Rd. (Rt.58) at Meier Rd., Mt. Prospect.
Interment private at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
